1) Eek! It's Alive
The soil under your feet is teeming with living organisms, some you can see but most you can't.  These eating, breathing, moving creatures are critical to ensuring the recycling of nutrients and carbon for future life, including humans.  This presentation will discuss the interactions of soil-living organisms and nutrient cycles. Short video clips http://www.agron.iastate.edu/~loynachan/mov/ and/or live cultures will help students visualize the organisms.
