Welcome to the the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Visiting Professor Website. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences values the opportunity to visit with students and teachers in Iowa high schools and community colleges.

  • At your invitation, a professor from ISU will travel to your location to give a 30 - 50 minute presentation, depending on the length of the class period.
  • This program is provided at no cost to you or your school.
  • Presentation topics cover mulitple subjects applicable to educators of science, health, technology, agriculture, math, business, and social science.

What type of preparation should your class have before a visit?
In order for the visit to be truly successful for both you and your students, we recommend that you encourage your students to think of questions that are of interest to them and that are related to the presentation topic or to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The students can then be encouraged to ask the question of the Visiting Professor. It is recommended to have a follow up discussion after the visit.

Consider having students:
-Visit the departmental web for the presenter that is hyperlinked to the picture on each professors' page.
-Visit the professor's personal page that is linked to the "Learn more about..." phrase.
-Visit the prospective student link for general questions about the college, majors, and research.
