1) Spices: Where Do They Come From? How Are They Used to Season Meat and Food Products?
Eighty-two countries from around the world contribute spices to the American table. This slide presentation will describe how spices are grown and harvested in various countries around the globe. It will be explained how spices are combined to produce the many different flavor profiles we enjoy in the meat and food products that we consume. Students will be able to examine samples of various spices.
