University Orientation for Transfer StudentsStudents should complete one or both of the options below. Option 1: Campus OrientationCome to campus and participate in an information fair and welcome session to get the information you need. You'll also meet with your academic college and have an appointment with your academic adviser during the afternoon. Option 2: Online OrientationStudents can participate in orientation by viewing online tutorials about Iowa State's policies, procedures and campus resources. We've even compiled a post-orientation checklist for you to make sure you are fully prepared to begin class. To participate in online orientation, you will need to follow the steps listed here: Step 1: Set up your Net-ID accountYour Net-ID will serve as your Iowa State e-mail address. If you are unsure of your University ID number, you can find it online on AccessPlus under University ID number or in your Office of Admissions acceptance packet. Step 2: Log in to WebCT GoldUse your Net-ID username to log in. Step 3: Click on the "University Orientation Course" linkYou are now ready to complete your university online orientation. Take your time viewing the information and then take the orientation quiz. Step 4: Schedule an academic advising appointmentOnce you've successfully completed the quiz you will be able to schedule an academic advising appointment to create a class schedule by contacting your college office (515) 294-2766 or aglsorientation@iastate.edu. |
