New Student Orientation

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences' Orientation will be your next step in making a successful transistion to Iowa State University.

Once you've made your Orientation Reservation, we will reserve a spot for you
at one of the two-day orientation sessions hosted by the College of Agriculture
and Life Sciences.
Agriculture Orienation Dates for New Freshmen are:

• June 3-4, 2008- This session is full
• June 11-12, 2008 - This session is full
• June 17-18, 2008 - This session is full
• June 23-24, 2008
• June 24-25, 2008

Before coming to your chosen orientation session, you need to look at our Math Placement Information and our English Placement Information to see what placement tests, if any, you will need to take.

You will recieve a confirmation letter in the mail from the College of Agriculture
and Life Sciences once your orientation reservation has been recieved. Please
hold onto this letter and review the information that is included. It is
pertinent to your orientation schedule.

You will also be recieving a large 8 1/2 x 11 white envelope with Red Letters reading 2008 Class Registration and ORIENTATION Information on the outside. Please hold onto this information, it includes your schedule for orientation as well as description of everything that you will be able to participate in.

We strongly recommend that you arrange your schedule (and that of any family members who may attend with you) to allow you to participate fully in all of the events of those two days.

Orientation sessions are specific to your major. If you change your mind about your major between now and June, please contact our Student Services Office at
(515) 294-2766 or tdannatt@iastate.edu to reschedule your orientation session.
