Agricultural Education.

The teacher certification option in Agricultural Education prepares you to become a teacher in agricultural and life sciences. With a shortage of Agriculture and Life Science Teachers in Iowa and nationwide, there are many opportunities available. If you choose not to teach after graduation, a degree in Agricultural Education provides a solid background in food, agriculture, and natural resources and prepares you for opportunities in agricultural businesses, commodity organizations and governmental agencies.

Agricultural Communications is for students interested in not only agriculture and life sciences but also public relations and communications. Choose the major and select the courses to fit your career goals. Select from a variety of agricultural sciences and economics courses and combine them with communication courses ranging from journalism to management. After graduation students find careers in the food, agriculture and natural resources industry related to marketing, advertising, journalism, and extension.
